MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE SHERIFF’S POSSE COMMUNITY 

ROAD IMPROVEMENT AND MAINTENANCE DISTRICT BOARD

On June 12, 2021,  4:00 P.M.

Prior to the meeting, a public hearing on the proposed FY22 budget was held.  The proposed budget can be found on the District web site.  Questions concerned the adequacy of the snow plow budget. This year we are employing a hybrid approach, with routine plowing being handled by volunteers, and extreme conditions calling for outside labor on a per-hour basis, hence a budget less than the record we spent when we used a plow service under contract.  There were also questions about the chip seal reserve which now has nearly $70,000 and is growing at a rate that should provide for around 2/3 of the cost when we have to re-pave our roads.
