MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF SHERIFF’S POSSE COMMUNITY

ROAD IMPROVEMENT AND MAINTENANCE DISTRICT BOARD

May 26, 2023, 5:30 P.M.

1.) The meeting was called to order at 5:32 P.M. Attending were Shanen Lacy, Laura Ross, Randy Loemker, and two other community members.

2.)  Randy called the meeting as it became apparent that our plan to do phase #1 of the "spring repair" prior to monsoon didn't leave a lot of time.  Hence, he moved the the Board allow him to spend up to $2,000 to have Dan Brutinel do the job.  It is understood that this is a gamble, the results of which will have to be reviewed after the monsoon, but potentially a big money saver.

     In discussing the motion, Randy explained that Dan had already estimated $1,200 to $1,600 to dig a 10' by 3' by 3' trench  on the south side of the SPT/Gentle Breeze intersection, removing the shoulder on the south side of SPT, installing water-permeable lining and several pipes to conduct water from SPT toward the culvert, and replacing the shoulder with rocks.  Since the assumption is that the water, prior to emergence, is flowing downhill either under or parallel to SPT, or parallel to Gentle Breeze, it was proposed that a water witch with a divining rod might be able to provide some insight, so the motion was amended to allow Randy to study that possibility, with a total expense up to $2,300.

     The motion was then called and approved unanimously.

3.)    Call to the public added nothing further.

4.)    The meeting was adjourned at 6:00 P.M.
