MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE SHERIFF’S POSSE COMMUNITY

ROAD IMPROVEMENT AND MAINTENANCE DISTRICT BOARD

On September 16, 2019  4:00 P.M.

2051 Sheriff's Posse Trail, Prescott, AZ.  86303

(Agenda #1) The meeting was called to order at  4:00 P.M.

Attending:  Shawn Cardinal, Laura Ross, Joe Veranth, and three other community members

(Agenda #2) Joe moved to approve the meeting minutes of June 12 and September 16.  The motion passed unanimously.

(Agenda #3) Joe passed out copies of a proposed contract and Statement of Work for snow plowing.  This included a list of residents who had agreed to serve as contacts with the contractor.  Leon Dame had volunteered to be the primary contact.  Joe also reported that he had contacted 14 potential snow plowing contractors.  One never returned his calls.  Three lacked sufficient equipment for the job.  Seven declined to bid.  One promised to bid but never did.  This left two bidders.  Yavapai Landscaping provided a bid of various hourly rates in the range of $250/hr, based upon the equipment being used.  Dr. Green Thumb Landscaping provided a basically fixed bid of $1,500 per plowing and $300 to manage the cinders.

Lowell Lacy requested that we alter the Statement of Work to remove Bentley Road from the list of roads to be plowed.  Thus, Bentley Road, Jazz Lane, and the last half of Hawk Road will NOT be plowed.  Laura requested that the SOW also be altered to emphasize that the first half of Sheriff's Posse Trail must be plowed wide enough to accommodate two lanes of traffic.

After discussion of both cost and equipment staging, Laura moved that Joe be authorized to sign a contract with Dr. Green Thumb.  The motion  passed unanimously.

(Agenda #4) Lowell called our attention to the fact that since he now owns all the property abutting "Bentley Road", he'd like to get the public easement for that road abandoned and turn it into his driveway.  We'll make this an agenda item for the next meeting.

(Agenda #5) The meeting was adjourned at 5:15 P.M.
