MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF SHERIFF’S POSSE COMMNITY ROAD IMPROVEMENT AND MAINTANCE DISTRICT BOARD

April 30, 2025 2:00 P.M.

1. The meeting was called to order at 2:00 P.M. In attendance were Randy Loemker, Laura Ross & Lisa Genshock, and three other community members.

2. Randy provided an update on the road resurfacing project noting that the crack fill phase has been completed and based on his survey, the work looks good.  The next phase of full resurfacing is scheduled for June 3 and 4 and will include road closures more details of which will be communicated to the community shortly.

3. Randy provided an update on finances for FY 2025 and included a more detailed discussion of  how we set various budget items and the mechanics of money flows between the operating and reserve accounts.  Randy will provide a copy of the budget spreadsheet to Laura so she can update the current status of the FY2025 spending ahead of our FY2026 budget setting meeting on May 22, 2025.   Major spending differences actual versus forecast for FY2025 were snow plowing which was only about 20% of forecast due to a very light snowfall winter, and road maintenance which will be less than half of forecast because we have chosen a less expensive resurfacing alternative for work in 2025.  A more detailed discussion will be had at the May 22 meeting.

4. Laura Ross will be stepping down from the Board, and Amy Rose, who was in attendance, has agreed to take Laura’s place pending approval/appointment by the Board which will be on the agenda for consideration at the May 22 meeting.
