MINUTES OF THE BUDGET HEARING AND MEETING OF THE

SHERIFF’S POSSE COMMUNITY ROAD IMPROVEMENT AND MAINTENANCE DISTRICT BOARD

June 11,2025 3:00 P.M.

The Hearing was called to order at 3:09 P.M. In attendance were Randy Loemker, Amy Pichowsky, and four other community members.  Randy reviewed the proposed budget (it can be found on www.spcrimd.org).  After a call to the public, the hearing was adjourned at 3:14 P.M. and a Board meeting was called to order.

A Board meeting was called to order at 3:14 P.

1.      Randy moved to approve the budget and assessment for FY2026, the motion was seconded by Amy and passed unanimously.

2.      Approval of the minutes of previous meetings was tabled.

3.      Randy reported that the road resurfacing had been concluded to his satisfaction, and responded to a question by stating that it was warranted to retain 70% after five years.  A brief discussion of possible shoulder work led to a motion authorize Randy to spend up to $2,500 at his discretion on such work, which passed unanimously.  A discussion of line-of-sight work resulted in unanimous passage of a similar motion to allow Randy to spend up to $1,000 on such landscape work.  Neal Manske suggested the possibility of the person doing Jeanne Wellins' yard clearing at $30/hr.

4.      Review of open budget items for 2025 was tabled.

5.      Joe Veranth reported that the records handoff meeting had been rescheduled for June 16 at 3:00 P.M.

6.      Review of responsibilities was tabled.

7.      It was voted unanimously to grant check-writing authority to both Randy and Amy.

8.      Discussion of trailhead signage was tabled.

9.      Future meeting topics, including an audit meeting and those tabled above were reviewed, but no date was set.

10.    There was no response to a call to the public.
